Job Title: Student Success Coach for Title I (Online Courses Facilitator)
Location: SWE High School
Position Overview: The Title I Student Success Coach is dedicated to supporting the academic, social, and emotional success of students participating in Title I programs, with a special focus on those enrolled in online courses. This role involves providing personalized coaching, facilitating online learning, and coordinating resources to help students overcome challenges and achieve their educational goals. The Student Success Coach works closely with students, parents, faculty, and administration to create a supportive and effective learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Student Coaching and Support:
- Provide one-on-one coaching and mentoring to Title I students to support their academic and personal growth.
- Develop and implement individualized success plans based on students' needs, strengths, and goals.
- Monitor student progress and provide timely interventions to address academic, behavioral, and social-emotional issues.
Online Course Facilitation:
- Assist students in navigating and succeeding in online courses.
- Provide technical support and guidance for online learning platforms and tools.
- Facilitate virtual study sessions, discussion groups, and other online learning activities to enhance student engagement and understanding.
Academic Planning and Goal Setting:
- Help students set realistic academic goals and develop strategies to achieve them.
- Conduct regular check-ins to review progress and adjust plans as needed.
- Coordinate with teachers and counselors to ensure students receive appropriate academic support and accommodations.
Resource Coordination:
- Identify and connect students with academic resources, tutoring, counseling, and other support services.
- Collaborate with community organizations to provide additional resources and opportunities for students.
- Ensure students and families are aware of and can access Title I program benefits and services.
Parental and Community Engagement:
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to update them on student progress and involve them in the educational process.
- Build strong relationships with community partners to enhance support networks for students.
Data Tracking and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of student interactions, progress, and outcomes.
- Collaborate with counselors to analyze data to identify trends, successes, and areas for improvement.
- Prepare reports for school administration and Title I program compliance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in education or related field preferred
- Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations of students, staff, and parents
Additional Responsibilities:
- Attend and participate in school and district-wide meetings, committees, and professional development
- Prepare and submit required reports and documentation
- Other duties as assigned
